The Comptroller and Auditor General (‘the C&AG’) and The Jersey Care Commission (‘the Commission’) have announced a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) between the two independent bodies.

The MoU provides a framework for promoting consultation on matters of mutual interest.  In practical terms, both bodies will retain all of their separate statutory duties and responsibilities, but the MoU provides a framework for effective working relationships.

Closer cooperation, sharing of appropriate information and improved communications, will support them to meet their objectives, and to maintain and enhance confidence of Islanders and the States Assembly in both the C&AG and the Commission.
